BEFORE YOU WASTE TIME TRYING TO FIX IT!

I have a Vega 56 and have now tried everything to try and fix the game. I can’t get past the Status screen in the “Check for updates” or “Loading player statistics” phase.

Still haven’t found a fix but try to get a consensus on the issue.

I’ve looked around and seen a lot of people with Vega graphics had the same accident.

The game does not go past the initial Status panel where it checks for updates and loads player statistics. That’s where it crashes: after the start of the cinematic. Crash with code 0X887A0005 (0x887A0006) (6068)D.

I’m using a Ryzen 2700x with an Asrock b450 mobo and a Vega 56 GPU. Crucial Ballistix DDR4 at 3200mz. I’m using ethernet (not wifi).

Got a 20-25 gb update with Season 3 and haven’t been able to play it since.

Even though my microphone and sound work, there is a muted microphone icon in the top left corner of the screen.

Attempted Fixes (all failed):

Restart.

Clear Shader cache.

Update drivers and restart.

Scan and Repair.

Reinstall the game.

Delete all files related to directx, blizzard, activision, call of duty, reinstall the game again.

Unplug the ethernet just before the crash occurs.

Disable all sound devices.
