Last night, Counter-Strike 2 got a major update containing eight gigabytes of content. These include: Season Four Premiere, the return of a reworked Anubis, MP7 and PP-19 Bizon price and gameplay changes, new limited edition Armory Pass items, and a collection of new skins: Achroma and Harlequin. Overview of the New CS2 Update & Most Important Changes
Here’s the complete list of changes to the latest CS2 patch (January 22, 2026):
- Season Four Premiere Mode is LIVE
- Anubis returns to map pool, Chariot removed
- Sale: 70% off StarLadder Budapest Major sticker capsules
- Two new skin collections: Acroma and Harlequin
- New limited edition item for The Armory Pass: AK-47 Aphrodite
- MP7 and MP5-SD repair: damage increased, price reduced. PP-Bizon prices have also been reduced
- The jumping and bunnyhop mechanics were reworked, while jumping no longer affects the character’s stamina
- Base ratings for maps updated, old ratings temporarily hidden
- Sv_legacy_jump command added only for private servers (surfers, you happy?)
- Improved knife and gun sounds
- Knife attacks now differ in attack type and direction
- Background sounds no longer restart when changing zones
Now, we will discuss the most important changes of the update separately and talk about them in more detail.
Anubis Changes and New Map Set
Anubis has undergone some subtle but significant changes: the middle and A sites now look different.

Rotation from the center of the map between plants will now be more difficult, and fights in the center will no longer be as frequent and decisive. However, Plant A becomes easier to defend.
- The bridge is now closer to the middle door
- The middle door has been repositioned
- There is now a hole between the E-box and Site B
- Plant Crate A climbs the stairs to the path
- Scaffolding added to pillars in Plant A
Additionally, Valve removed several maps from the game: Golden, Palacio, Agency, and Rooftop. They are replaced by Warden, Stronghold, and Alpine (Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch), as well as Sanctum and Poseidon (Wingman).
New Skin Collection: Achroma and Harlequin
The CS2 developers have rotated the skin collection in CS2: new Achroma and Harlequin have been added, while the Safehouse, Dust 2, Nuke 2018, and Inferno 2018 collections have been removed. The following are skins from the new Achroma and Harlequin collections:
The Achroma collection in CS2 features black and white skins, including the new AK, AWP, Glock, USP, and many others. The distinctive feature of this collection is the minimalist two-tone design. In contrast, the Harlequin Collection is the opposite: bright and colorful leather, as the name of the collection suggests, refers to the circus theme. Skins from the new collection are now available as weekly rewards.

New Limited Edition Skin in Armory Pass: AK-47 Aphrodite
New limited edition skins have also been added to the game. It can be purchased for 125 Armory Stars. This is the AK-47 Aphrodite, which is available for purchase at CS.MONEY.
Unlike previous Armory Pass Limited Edition Items, this skin does not have a unique pattern. Only the wear pattern (float) changes.

Are there any new operations released in the CS2 update?
Unfortunately, there are no new operations in CS2 this time. While the patch is eight gigabytes in size and fixes many issues, including model switching, it still doesn’t give the community its first run of CS2. Never mind, maybe next time!
